The roots of Kalev, Estonia’s largest and oldest confectionery manufacturer, date back to 1806, when Lorenz Caviezel opened a bakery in Tallinn’s Old Town. Today, Kalev is renowned for its chocolate expertise and is recognized as one of the region’s leading confectionery brands. Its products are manufactured in a state-of-the-art factory located near Tallinn.
In addition, Orkla Eesti operates a retail chain of ten chocolate stores and owns Maiasmokk, one of Tallinn’s oldest continuously operating cafés.
