Orkla Snacks acquires The European Candy Group B.V. to support continued BUBS growth

Orkla Snacks has agreed to acquire 100% of the shares in The European Candy Group B.V. (CCI), one of Europe’s leading producers of vegan sugar confectionery products. The enterprise value amounts to EUR 207 million on a cash- and debt-free basis.

The acquisition provides Orkla Snacks with production capacity to support continued BUBS growth in the Nordic markets and to allow for faster expansion into new European markets. Orkla Snacks plans to maintain CCI’s existing, profitable business, while gradually increasing production of BUBS to serve export markets with high demand.

CCI has been a supplier of selected BUBS confectionery products since 2025. The company has four production facilities: three in the Netherlands and one in Germany. The sellers are funds managed by Bencis Capital Partners and management shareholders in CCI. In 2026, CCI is expected to generate revenues of c. EUR 110 million and EBITDA (adj.) of c. 21 million.

“CCI is a natural strategic fit for Orkla Snacks. The company brings unique expertise in the sugar confectionery market and a broad customer network spanning several European countries. The proposed acquisition will strengthen Orkla Snacks’ position in Europe and enable BUBS to expand its offering into new markets”, says Ingvill T. Berg, CEO of Orkla Snacks.

The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and, as required under Dutch law, the advice of the works council. Closing is expected in 2026 towards the end of the third quarter or early in the fourth quarter.
